History

The current school building was constructed in late 1995 when construction began, and finished in early August 1997. Before construction, students at the high school level would attend education at the prior building on Lake Michigan Dr., which housed all twelve grades under one roof, until decision came when the public school district would vote to build a middle school/high school along 68th avenue for students at sixth through twelfth grade would attend. In September 1997 and the old school buidling was available for grades DK through fifth grade. The middle school/high school has since become a high school only building with the construction of a new middle school. The high school was constructed of one rural building, with the addition of a high school auditorium, that would be named the Ceglarek fine Arts Center, and a high school gym located south of the Auditorium. The Classroom Hallways stretch onto two levels of the northwest section of the school. Each Classroom split into different section of certain courses. Within the classroom sections of the hallways, the building entrance begins on the southwestern side of the classroom hallways, including the entrance to the athletic directory offices, and the main school library, these two entrances lead off to the high school entrances of the gym and auditorium. in 2004 The school built its Fine Arts Center Auditorium which finished construction on April 16, 2005, naming it the Ceglerek Fine Arts Center. The Ceglarek Fine Arts Center (CFAC) opened on April 16, 2005. Since opening, the CFAC has been home to several wonderful performances. With 789 seats and its spacious stage, the CFAC has the feel of a large auditorium with the intimacy of a small house.

In 2003 the building began construction on a brand new athletic department for the school in the South Entrance wing, next to the gymnasium. The athletic department included an Athletic Training Room, a women's locker room for women's athletics, a men's locker room, which included three extra locker rooms for sporting athletics during the season, this sponsored Freshman and Junior Varsity Athletics, And one men's varsity athletic locker room, for varsity sports. The Athletic Department also sponsored a new weight room, student, and staff parking lots outside the athletic entrances. With the renovations, the school remodeled the basketball gym and renamed it Coach Ken Pierce Court, after former Allendale basketball coach, Ken Pierce. In 2014 the school remodeled Falcon Stadium outside Allendale High School, replacing the Old Allendale Track with new rubber track, and a brand new football field.
